Capes Cofecub Contract

Capes Cofecub Contract

USPC signed an agreement with the CAPES and the COFECUB to finance doctoral contracts within the framework of the projects selected for the Franco-Brazilian CAPES-COFECUB programme. USPC will be allocating two doctoral contracts by competitive exam within this framework in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Candidates must carry out their thesis work in the French project team, in collaboration with the Brazilian partner. There are no nationality restrictions. Priority will be given to candidates and projects with cosupervision between the USPC institutions and the Brazilian project partner institution.

The teams must submit an application to their doctoral school. The application must be identical to that of an international doctoral contract application. The 2015 application were examined by a committee composed of Philip Miller (USPC representative in Sao Paulo), Charles Desfrançois (USPC Deputy Director for Research), Sébastien Velut (USPC Deputy Director for International Relations), Bertrand Monthubert (President of COFECUB) and a representative from each doctoral school having submitted a project.
